Pub­lic pro­cure­ment law bou­tique on course for growth: Daniel Hohmann and Chris­t­ian Wiere join abante Recht­san­wälte as part­ners

Leipzig, Decem­ber 28, 2024 — Leipzig-based pub­lic pro­cure­ment law bou­tique abante Recht­san­wälte is fur­ther expand­ing its pres­ence in Sax­ony-Anhalt and Low­er Sax­ony. On Jan­u­ary 1, 2025, Daniel Hohmann and Chris­t­ian Wiere will join the team as part­ners. With the two expe­ri­enced lawyers, abante is not only gain­ing fur­ther exper­tise in the Magde­burg region, but also in forestry pro­cure­ment prac­tice.

Daniel Hohmann, a lawyer since 2007 and part­ner in a renowned law firm in Magde­burg since 2013, spe­cial­izes in con­struc­tion and pub­lic pro­cure­ment law. Chris­t­ian Wiere, also a lawyer since 2015 and a part­ner in the same law firm as Hohmann since 2019, is a lawyer with lit­i­ga­tion expe­ri­ence and an expe­ri­enced advi­sor to pub­lic clients who have to man­age large con­struc­tion projects. The new part­ners thus bring exper­tise in advis­ing pub­lic clients in the forestry sec­tor, the uni­ver­si­ty sec­tor, hos­pi­tals and small and medi­um-sized com­pa­nies in the con­struc­tion sec­tor to the firm.

Chris­t­ian Wiere will con­tin­ue to devel­op the fir­m’s civ­il con­struc­tion law prac­tice for pub­lic clients in par­tic­u­lar, while Daniel Hohmann will take on a new and pre­vi­ous­ly untapped area for abante: pro­cure­ment process­es in the forestry sec­tor. “With Daniel, we are tap­ping into an excit­ing seg­ment. He knows more about the award­ing of forestry ser­vices than almost any­one else,” con­tin­ues Kins.

The arrival of Daniel Hohmann and Chris­t­ian Wiere as part­ners on Jan­u­ary 1, 2025 will also be accom­pa­nied by a change in the name of the pre­vi­ous law firm. In future, the law firm will oper­ate as abante Recht­san­wälte GmbH & Co KG. Along with the new part­ners, three fur­ther employ­ees will join abante Recht­san­wälte and com­plete the now forty-strong team.
