Education and training on procurement and contract law
Funding recipients usually carry out award procedures on a project-related basis — without having built up their own award know-how. We train your team in a practical way and with direct reference to the requirements of your funding body.

What we do for you
Basic training courses
Fundamentals of public procurement law for all those involved in subsidized procurement — practical and tailored to the requirements of the granting authority.
Problem-oriented training
Case studies, question-and-answer games, 1‑day workshops: Application knowledge instead of pure knowledge transfer.
In-depth training
For specific topic segments — e.g. proof of use, supplementary management or the special features of individual funding programs and their ancillary provisions.
We conduct basic training
Public procurement law for grant recipients is spread across different sets of regulations — from the UVgO and VOB/A to the specific requirements of individual funding programs and funding bodies. We train project managers, employees in funding administration, legal advisors, managing directors and board members in the basics of grant award law. Because only those who know the basics can judge which steps are really necessary in the award procedure — and which errors can later lead to complaints by the granting authority.
Grant recipients are not contracting authorities in the traditional sense — their procurement obligations arise from the grant notification and its ancillary provisions. Our training courses impart precisely this specific knowledge, not general procurement law without reference to funding.
Problem oriented trainings
Pure knowledge transfer is no longer appropriate in vocational training. What is needed is application knowledge — in other words, the ability to act correctly in specific situations. Together with your HR department or your external service provider, we develop a portfolio of application-oriented training courses. This can be a case study that is solved under the guidance of one of our specialist lawyers for public procurement law in a 1‑day workshop. Or a question-and-answer game that specifically sharpens your team’s knowledge. We are also happy to provide the training as a video course so that not only the current team but also future employees can benefit from it.
In-depth training — with pleasure!
Certain topic segments require in-depth analysis. For example, if your project involves the award of several framework agreements or you are procuring IT services in accordance with funding law, it is worth attending an intensive training course on this segment lasting several hours or days. Regardless of the topic that concerns you — whether it is supplementary management under funding conditions, the requirements for verifying the use of funds or the special features of a particular funding program: We are so broadly positioned in procurement and grant law that we can cover and meet all needs.

Frequently asked questions about procedural support
General initial orientation — no substitute for legal advice in individual cases.
Who are your training courses suitable for — do participants need prior knowledge?
Our training courses are aimed at anyone who comes into contact with procurement procedures in funded projects — from project managers with no procurement experience to legal advisors who want to deepen their knowledge. No prior knowledge is required for basic training courses. We will be happy to discuss with you which format is right for your team.
Can training content be tailored to our specific needs?
Yes — this is actually the rule. Different funding bodies have different requirements and the relevant ancillary provisions vary depending on the funding program. We coordinate the training content with you in advance and take into account the regulations relevant to your project. Please feel free to contact us.
Do you also offer digital formats?
Yes, in addition to face-to-face training, we also conduct our training courses remotely — via video conference, individually tailored to your team and your schedule. We will be happy to discuss with you which format is right for your organization.
Note: No legal advice. All answers do not replace an individual examination by a lawyer.
