Christian Schötzig
As a specialist lawyer for public procurement law, my focus is on the awarding of contracts for technical, commercial and infrastructural facility management services (e.g. building maintenance, security services, building automation, cleaning services, etc.). I draft construction contracts, supply contracts, agency and other service contracts and, above all, maintenance contracts. I draw up both standardized and complex procurement procedures and carry them out as completely as possible for public clients.
I am also active in representing bidders. Public clients and companies from various sectors rely on my expertise in review proceedings before the Public Procurement Chamber and the Higher Regional Court Senates. Over the years, I have gained particular experience with guard and security service providers, school transport companies, cleaning service providers and construction companies.
Occasionally I am also involved in the litigious enforcement of rights arising from construction, supply and service contracts, for example in the case of outstanding invoices, defects or necessary price adjustments.
I also specialize in construction and architectural law. The successful completion of the specialist lawyer course in this area of law proves this. In addition to the specialist lawyer for public procurement law, I successfully completed the theoretical part of the specialist lawyer for construction
and architects' law in spring 2024.
My public procurement law activities include, among others
- Comprehensive support during the award procedure and legal project management
- Legal review of tender documents, drafting and negotiation of contracts with a particular focus on maintenance contracts and contracts for FM services
- Preparation of tender documents and notes on complex procurement and contract law issues
- Complaints and review procedures under public procurement law
- Organizational advice on public procurement law, in particular for outsourcing FM services
- Enforcement of or defense against claims for damages following procurement errors
- Civil court proceedings to enforce or defend against claims arising from contracts concluded in public procurement procedures
